Raffaella Casolino: Attending the 1st Cancer Planners Forum was One of the Most Incredible Experiences of my Career
Raffaella Casolino, Technical Officer in the Department of Noncommunicable Diseases, Rehabilitation, and Disability at WHO in Geneva, shared UICC’s post on LinkedIn, adding:
“Attending the 1st Cancer Planners Forum was one of the most incredible experiences of my career.
Thank you UICC for bringing together this fantastic community of people and Organizations who are shaping the present and future of cancer control, locally and globally.”
Quoting Union for International Cancer Control (UICC)’s post:
“That’s a wrap on the first-ever Cancer Planners Forum in Geneva!
From 14–16 May, over 100 cancer control planners and experts came together in Geneva, Switzerland to explore how National Cancer Control Plans (NCCPs) can serve as powerful investments in a country’s future.
Co-hosted by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) with the support from World Health Organization, IARC, IAEA and ICCP partners, and with the financial support of UICC Partners the Forum offered a packed, interactive programme—from real-world case studies to deep dives on data, policy and planning. The energy in the room was inspiring, with participants exchanging practical insights, exploring challenges, and forging new connections.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to making this first edition a success—we look forward to building on this momentum together.”
