Hearty congratulations to the winners, their schools, and families. Sincere appreciation to The Secondary Schools Boards, the judges, Patela Care Foundation CAANEC coordinator Mrs Mary Hanson, The Patela Care team, and partners.

The Patela Care Foundation (PCF) Cancer Control Health Education (CCHE) Initiative encompasses two key programs:

  • The CAANEC Cancer Literacy Program
  • The Cancer Control Health Education (CCHE) for the Internally Displaced Persons Program (IDPs)

This initiative aims to empower young minds, individuals, and communities with knowledge to combat cancer, foster a culture of cancer literacy, and promote excellence in health education, particularly in the field of cancer control.

This includes awareness, advocacy, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, psychosocial support, and end-of-life care, thereby contributing to the reduction of the cancer burden in low- and middle-income countries such as Nigeria.

‘The PCFCCHE initiative – Reducing cancer burden, one person at a time.’ ”
