Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: Conducting a Prostate Cancer Awareness Outreach in a Rural Fulani Settlement
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu, Global Cancer Advocate, UICC President-Elect of 2024-2026 and Founder of the Medicaid Cancer Foundation, shared a post on X:
“As part of our Movember activities Medicaid CF Programs, we conducted a Prostate Cancer awareness outreach in a rural Fulani settlement.
Educating men about the risks, early signs, and importance of screening is necessary to reduce the impact of prostate cancer in communities.
Movember is a global awareness campaign to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues such as, prostate and testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.
Thankful to BVGH for the partnership.
In addition we distributed mosquito nets donated by USAID/Nigeria to support overall community health. The key message is: men’s health matters every day of the year.
Let’s continue to advocate, educate, and prioritize health.”
