Richard Scolyer shared his Cancer Journey at Parliament House in Canberra
Richard Scolyer, Senior Staff Specialist in Tissue Pathology and Diagnostic Oncology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, shared a post on X:
“As a cancer patient, my perception of life has changed & I have new insights I hadn’t thought about previously.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to share these at Parliament House in Canberra recently where the Minister of Health Mark Butler MP and I both spoke and were joined by many cancer patients and patient support & advocacy groups.
The same day, I also attended the Brain Tumour Alliance Australia event at Parliament House. I heard some very moving stories & met some wonderful people.
It was also an honour to hear Gail O’Brien‘s speech particularly given my connection to the Chris O’Brien Life house and friendship with her late husband the wonderful Prof Chris O’Brien AO.”
