” Collaborating for a Brighter Future in Cancer Care.
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome Mr. Jörg-Michael Rupp, Head of Roche Pharma International Regions and Chair of the Board of Directors at City Cancer Challenge (C/Can), to the Qatar Cancer Society (QCS).
During his visit, we explored opportunities to strengthen our strategic partnership, focusing on advancing the journey of people living with cancer in Qatar through innovative solutions, improved access to care, and comprehensive support systems.
Our conversation also reflected on the insightful discussions we had during the World Cancer Congress 2024 and the Implementation Science training for City Cancer Challenge (C/Can) in Geneva this past September. These experiences emphasized the critical role of cities in transforming cancer care and how implementation science can bridge the gap between research and impactful practice.
Building on these shared experiences and the vision of C/Can, we explored how QCS can further contribute to empowering cities to deliver equitable, sustainable, and high-quality cancer care.
Meaningful partnerships like these are a testament to the power of collaboration in addressing the global cancer burden. I look forward to the impactful outcomes this collaboration will bring to Qatar and beyond.
Thank you, Mr. Rupp, for your visionary leadership and dedication to advancing cancer care globally.”
