Dégi László Csaba: Honored to have co-chaired the groundbreaking smartCARE Showcase Event

Dégi László Csaba, the President of the European Cancer Organisation, posted on LinkedIn:

“Honored to have co-chaired the groundbreaking smartCARE Showcase Event in my role as European Cancer Organisation President, alongside the distinguished Penilla Gunther – EU Cancer Mission Board member, National and European Parliamentarians for Cancer Action member, and Co-Chair of the smartCARE Steering Committee.
As the European Cancer Organisation, we’re proud to lead this flagship initiative of Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan under the EU4Health Programme 2021-2027. Our role in coordinating the project and leading user-needs assessment underscores ECO’s commitment to transforming cancer care.
Our comprehensive program featured two vital plenary sessions:
Session 1: ‘Defining the Prototype’ Featured exceptional insights from experts including Tomas Kepak, Kathy Oliver (Co-Chair of ECO’s Patient Advisory Committee), Juan Prieto-Pena, Stephen Rowley, and Mabon ap Gwynfor, Member of the Senedd for Dwyfor Meirionnydd at Plaid Cymru – The Party of Wales.
Interactive App Testing Lab Engaging hands-on session with real-time feedback and innovation.
Session 2: ‘Clinical Pilot Testing, Feedback and Next Steps’ Led discussions with remarkable speakers including Hannah Gsell, Kateřina Kepakova, Jaroslav Kovář, Carina Schneider, and Tomas Kniukšta from European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA).
Through the smartCARE Consortium, ECO is turning vision into reality, developing a cancer survivor smart card that will revolutionize support for cancer survivors across Europe.”
