Resilience and Connection: A Heartfelt Day at Richi Childhood Cancer Foundation

“Our second session with the cohort sponsored by the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was truly extraordinary.
Survivors, patients, and their families gathered at the Richi House for a heartfelt and impactful session led by our Chief Psychosocial Officer, Nancy Cincotta, LCSW, MPhil, MSW—a rare and cherished opportunity!
Nancy shared her reflections on the day, saying: “The resilience of young adult survivors continues to amaze me. This week it was an honor, both hearing what their journeys have been and getting to know the resilient, capable, caring individuals they have become.”
In a mix of Spanish and English, we shared stories, smiles, and emotional moments that united us all. Afterward, we enjoyed a delicious lunch together and strolled around the Richi House, picking up acorns and soaking in the beauty of a crisp fall day.
Each moment was a beautiful reminder of the connections we build here. We’re excited to open our doors to even more families, creating unforgettable memories together.”
