Sami Mansfield: Cancer doesn’t wait. Neither should we
Sami Mansfield, Founder of Cancer Wellness for Life, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Cancer doesn’t wait. Neither should we.
Right now, Colorado is shaping its future response to one of the most critical health challenges of our time. And I’m inviting you to be part of it.
The Colorado Cancer Control Plan for 2026–2030 is under revision. As the co-chair of the state’s Breast Cancer Taskforce, we’re seeking to engage with:
- Healthcare professionals
- Policymakers
- Organizational leaders
- Individuals and caregivers directly impacted by cancer
Together, we’ll work to shape a strategy that addresses gaps and drives meaningful action.
Here’s what’s already on the table for our 2025 strategic plan:
- Reducing barriers to screening, genetic, and genomic testing
- Promoting risk-reducing behaviors
- Expanding support services to address gaps in income, language, and geography
(Colorado may look great on an obesity map compared to the rest of the country, but when it comes to cancer? We still have work to do.)
This is your chance to have a voice in how we fight back – so that Coloradans impacted by cancer don’t just survive but thrive.
Ready to make an impact? Learn more.”
