“The Congratulations to Dr Larry Einhorn on the 50th Anniversary for the cure for testicular cancer. I have had the privilege of Larry’s mentorship, support and friendship over 3 decades.
Pictured here is Lance Armstrong, Larry and myself this past Saturday in Indianapolis.
I had the honor of sitting next to a young survivor who had been given up on by many cancer centers .. and then he found Larry . He was featured at the event post treatment and so proud to share his story as well as his growing family !
What a joy to see how the courage of the first man 50 years ago participating in the first clinical trial with Cisplatin has impacted the lives of thousands of men following him. This demonstrates how the power and courage of our Patients who participate in clinical trials can have tremendous impact and ripple effect for generations to come !
So thank you!!! to ALL patients and families who participate in clinical trials as you do make a difference in the lives of others.

Robin Zon is the President of ASCO for 2024-2025. She also chairs the South Bend Medical Foundation and is a former Director of Breast Oncology at Cincinnati Cancer Advisors. Additionally, she has served as a Physician Emeritus at MHO – Advanced Center for Cancer Care.
