William Dale: Mentorship is an incredible joy in life
William Dale, Vice Chair for Academic Affairs Department of Supportive Care Medicine at City of Hope, recently shared on X/Twitter:
“Mentorship is an incredible joy in life. Watching a mentee become an independent scholar, presenting to the world, and representing the work can’t be enjoyed enough. At this year’s ASCO Quality Forum, Prof. Cristiane D. Bergerot presented the RCT work she leads on geriatric assessment in Brazil. This extends our work with the GAIN geriatric oncology study to a new low-resource setting. It shows the power of the approach in the ASCO Guidelines, which Cris co-authored. Major cudos, Cris!!
Special thanks Sumanta K. Pal and Matthew Loscalzo for introducing Cris to me at City of Hope. And to Enrique Soto for co-mentoring.
