Jannat Almasaoodi: The Lung Ambition Alliance Middle East and Africa (LAA MEA) chapter has launched a new Policy Brief
“The Lung Ambition Alliance Middle East and Africa (LAA MEA) chapter has launched a new Policy Brief urging urgent action to address the rising burden of lung cancer in the region, focusing on early detection.
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide, with 2.21 million new cases and 1.8 million deaths annually. Due to lack of early detection, most cases in MEA are diagnosed at advanced stages, leading to a 90% fatality rate.”
