Urging your lawmakers to pass legislation extending Medicare’s telehealth flexibilities – ASCO

ASCO posted on X:

Without congressional action, Medicare’s telehealth flexibilities are set to expire at the end this year. Urge your lawmakers to pass legislation extending these flexibilities.

Learn more.”

Fumiko Ladd Chino, Attending in Radiation Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared this post on X adding:

Telehealth allows me to see patients on their schedule. I’ve had consults from patient couches, home offices, from the alleyway outside their retail jobs, and from their cars during lunch break. I am for any tool which enables people to continue to live on their time (not mine).”

Nathan A. Pennell, Professor and Vice Chair of Clinical Research at Cleveland Clinic, also shared this post on X and added:

Telehealth allows us to reach patients where they live, expanding access both to standard oncology care and clinical trials and reducing disparities impacting rural and underserved pts. Help by advocating for extending these flexibilities!”

Jason Westin, Director of Lymphoma Clinical Research and Section Chief of Aggressive Lymphoma at MD Anderson Cancer Centre, shared this on X adding:

“Telemedicine has become as essential part of how we care for our patients, expanding access and reducing barriers. It takes just a moment to tell your lawmakers with the link.”
