David Fredrickson: When it comes to driving breakthroughs in cancer care, curiosity is a superpower

David Fredrickson, Executive Vice-President of Oncology Business at AstraZeneca, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“When it comes to driving breakthroughs in cancer care, curiosity is a superpower. That’s been especially evident to me over the past week at ESMO 23 where it’s clear that important advances in cancer come from people who are constantly asking questions like: Is this the best we can do? What if we attacked cancer in a new way?

Elizabeth Pease is an AstraZeneca veteran and someone who is relentlessly curious, questioning current standards of care and pushing us to imagine new ways to improve the lives of people living with cancer. Liz says working in oncology drug development is “like putting together a puzzle… and it’s not a one-size-fits-all approach.” She’s right. The incredible progress we’re witnessing in oncology across the industry is about tailoring treatments to each individual patient.”
