Toufic Kachaamy: How MCED can potentially help society address cancer related health disparities
Toufic Kachaamy shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Upward mobility helping people move out of poverty is beneficial to everyone in society. It can be hindered by diseases especially cancer.
One of every 3 persons is expected to be diagnosed as having cancer in his or her lifetime with cancer ranking as the second leading cause of death in the United States. Cancer related disability and early mortality can shatter families and impact future generations.
While cancer-related mortality has declined over the past few decades lower rates of preventive screening for cancer in minorities and underprivileged population may contribute to and exacerbate the disparities in cancer-related health outcomes.
Join us for a discussion on cancer, cancer related health disparities and how MCED can potentially help society address this problem.”
