Presenting research at the CABTRAC retreat in Kansas City – UF Health Cancer Center

“This week, our Cancer Training and Education Program leadership and some of our cancer trainees presented their work at the annual Cancer Biology Training Consortium (CABTRAC) retreat in Kansas City!
Sarah McMahon, Ph.D. and Alexis Smith, part of our TICaRT program, presented a poster about their collaborative team project, titled ‘A team-based approach to targeting the Latency-Associated Nuclear Antigen (LANA) of KSHV for PROTAC-induced degradation.’
Dietmar Siemann, Ph.D., our associate director for education and training, gave a presentation about the TICaRT program, featuring the benefits of team-science and near-peer mentoring for trainees. Wendy Malorzo, assistant director of the program, presented a poster about cancer training and education opportunities at the UF Health Cancer Center.
