Kristopher Lamore: Highlighting discussions on brain tumors in children at the 56th SIOP Congress
Kristopher Lamore, Psychology researcher at the Université de Lille, shared on LinkedIn:
“As we wrap up the final day of the 56th SIOP (International Society of Pediatric Oncology) Congress, I want to highlight a crucial focus of our discussions: brain tumors in children.
Several presentations on pediatric brain tumors were particularly impactful. These tumors pose unique challenges, often resulting in specific and varied long-term sequelae, especially in neurocognitive and psychological domains. I’d like to extend my heartfelt congratulations to all the presenters who shared their invaluable research and insights on this critical topic, including Bryony Jane Ellen Lucas (USA), Brian Biekman (USA), and Naureen Mushtaq (PK).
I’m proud to share that our research consortium, EN-HOPE SMART4CBT, is actively working in this field. With a number of research projects in psychology, management, and biology, we hope to improve care for children and their parents. Stay connected!
It was also a pleasure to reconnect with Leandra Desjardins at the congress. I’m excited about the prospect of establishing new collaborations in the near future.
This congress has been an incredible opportunity for knowledge exchange and collaboration. Honolulu has provided a magical backdrop for our discussions, offering breathtaking beaches, the historical significance of Pearl Harbor, and majestic volcanoes. As expected, I’ll be sharing some photos to give you a glimpse of this beautiful location.”
