“Since 2022, we have been collaborating with City of Smile Charitable Foundation, an Armenian organization in charge of caring for and treating children with cancer in the country. In total we made a donation of 160,000 euros to cover expenses and treatments of Armenian aladdins.
In Armenia, the health system can only cover a small part of the cost of cancer treatments. Around 70% of the total cost must be borne by the patient’s family; this, in a country where more than 30% of the population lives below the poverty line.
A few weeks ago our director Ishtar Espejo collected the award given by Gevorg Tamamyan to Aladina for this special collaboration, which has helped Armenian children with cancer to receive the treatment they need.
