“Why do we encourage survivors to share their stories?
Because, hearing about someone who has been in the same shoes and faced the same challenges can be incredibly inspiring.
When a cancer survivor shares their story, they are sharing a story of resilience and strength.
They are showing that it is possible to overcome cancer, and this can give others the hope they need to keep fighting.
They are also in the best position to advocate for other patients, bust myths, end stigmatisation, and cause policy change.
