We’re launching a new Biohub in New York to harness immune cells to better detect, prevent and treat disease – Chan Zuckerberg Initiative
Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, shared a post on LinkedIn, saying:
“We’re excited to announce that we’re launching a new Biohub in New York to harness immune cells to better detect, prevent and treat disease. Fostering collaboration between Columbia University, The Rockefeller University and Yale University and led by Andrea Califano, CZBiohubNY will use the latest single-cell tools, AI and other experimental methods to decode the language of immune cells so we can heed warnings more precisely.
The CZ Biohub NY will also engineer these cells to navigate to specific organs and tissues to examine their health and take therapeutic actions. We’re excited to see this work transform how we treat hard-to-detect diseases like ovarian and pancreatic cancers, and neurodegenerative diseases like Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s.”
