Kai-Cheng Hsu: AI presented as a solution to improve healthcare efficiency in Taiwan
Kai-Cheng Hsu shared the following on LinkedIn:
“I recently participated in the public hearing ‘Effective Health Investment, Achieving the Goal of a Healthy Taiwan,’ organized by legislator Wang Zhengxu. The discussion highlighted how medical professionals often face repetitive tasks, such as verifying patient information, which can be time-consuming and mundane. AI was presented as a solution to summarize, integrate, and error-check, significantly reducing the time required for tasks like nurse handovers by up to two-thirds.
While AI is advancing rapidly, the discussion also acknowledged that clinical applications still face hurdles, including regulatory guidance and practical integration into everyday use. I believe that with continued support and development, AI can play a crucial role in alleviating the administrative burden on healthcare workers and improving overall system resilience.
Looking forward to seeing these innovations progress!”
