“Advancing Personalized Medicine in Bulgaria
During the BEACON CANCER CARE Meeting in Warsaw, Jasmina Koeva-Balabanova, Chair of the Bulgarian Alliance for Precision and Personalized Medicine, shared valuable insights into Bulgaria’s progress in cancer care. She highlighted the establishment of a National Cancer Plan, which includes increased funding for cancer treatment and the formation of the Bulgarian Oncological Alliance. However, significant challenges remain, particularly in early cancer diagnosis due to the lack of national screening programs. Efforts are underway to bridge these gaps and provide timely cancer care to Bulgarian patients.”
