Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu: The 2nd Edition of the African Cancer CEOs Forum was a resounding success
Zainab Shinkafi-Bagudu shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The 2nd Edition of the African Cancer CEOs Forum was a resounding success. Over 190 participants from Africa, Asia, and Europe came together to address disparities in cancer care across the continent.
We engaged in thought-provoking discussions on the challenges, innovative solutions, and success stories that are shaping the future of cancer care in Africa.
Some of the key takeaways include:
- the need to build stronger partnerships,
- prioritize local and Indigenous research,
- expand the use of digital technology to improve access to care, and
- ensure equitable treatment for all, especially in underserved, conflict-prone areas.
The next steps are clear: form a coalition of African cancer leaders, amplify the voices of advocates and survivors, and continue this dialogue through follow-up webinars and workshops.
A heartfelt thank you to our brilliant speakers and participants—your contributions are helping us build a stronger, more inclusive cancer care system. With your continued dedication, we can drive sustainable change and ensure better outcomes for all.”
