I am excited to present two talks during this session, each focusing on critical aspects of cancer control through family and community medicine:

1. Community and Family Medicine Approaches to Cancer Control: Insights from a Civil Society Organization’s Resident Rotation Program
Time: 2:45 PM – 4:05 PM

In this talk, I’ll share experiences from medical residents’ rotations at a civil society organization, emphasizing how family and community medicine are integral to cancer care at the community level. We’ll explore structured training approaches and tailored strategies for managing cancer care effectively.

2. The Expanding Role of Family Medicine in Cancer Control: Evidence-Based Interventions Across the Cancer Journey
Time: 4:25 PM – 4:45 PM

This presentation will highlight the pivotal role of family medicine in all stages of the cancer journey—from prevention and early detection to survivorship and palliative care. We will explore how evidence-based interventions can enhance cancer care within primary care settings, ensuring continuous, patient-centered support.

The congress is a hub for family medicine leaders across the Gulf, Levant, and East Mediterranean regions, uniting to advance the field and reinforce its critical role as the first gatekeeper in disease management.
