A 6 km walk creating awareness about the menace of childhood cancer – Medicaid CF
Medicaid CF posted on LinkedIn:
“We wrapped up Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with a meaningful 6km walk alongside okapi children cancer foundation!
About 40,000 Nigerian children are diagnosed of different types of childhood cancers every year, out of which 80 per cent die due to poor detection and clinical treatment. This is why we all gathered on this walk to create awareness about the menace of childhood cancer.
We journeyed from Jabi Lake Mall through Jabi Garage and back, raising awareness for the fight against childhood cancer.
The day was filled with energy as we kicked off with a lively aerobic session, celebrated the birthday of the Chief Volunteer’s daughter, and walked in solidarity for the cause.
Together with advocates and families, we continue to champion early detection, better care, and support for children battling cancer.
Let’s keep raising awareness!”
