Sidney Chahonyo: Almost 20 years since I was declared cancer free
Sidney Chahonyo shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Almost 20 years since I was declared cancer free.
And I found my passion after that. Supporting children who cannot afford cancer treatment and care.
My dream is that every child in Kenya has the same chance I had regardless of their socioeconomic status or what part of the world they live in.
Help me help them. Together, let’s save their lives.

“So proud of the incredible work Sidney Chahonyo and the team are doing at Hope for Cancer Kids (HCK). Their dedication and commitment truly demonstrate the impact we can have when we come together for a cause. Our lives are not sustained by our own power but to fulfill a greater purpose by supporting those facing the battle against cancer.
This effort is also a reflection of the work we’re doing at Childhood Cancer International to foster a sense of community for children with cancer in Africa and through the global survivors network. Every child fighting cancer whether in active treatment, remission, or as a caregiver is a survivor, and together, we will stand by each other.
To my LinkedIn and Kenyan connections, please join in supporting this cause by Hope for Cancer Kids (HCK) to renew hope for children with cancer in Kenya. I’m looking forward to visiting Kenya soon!”
