Herbert Loong: Thanks ASPIRE for Lung Cancer collaboration for early detection roundtable in Hong Kong
Herbert Loong shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Thanks ASPIRE for Lung Cancer for collaborating with Asia Pacific Coalition against Lung Cancer and The Chinese University of Hong Kong in hosting an inclusive and interactive roundtable discussion with multiple academic stakeholders in lung cancer screening and early detection in Hong Kong!
Together with my co-chair and colleague Prof. Martin Wong, we took a stock-take together with multiple stakeholders of all the on-going lung cancer screening and risk reduction projects and efforts happening in our city. This included pilot screening trials, cost-effectiveness analyses, charitable screening opportunities, studies pertaining to the issue of scanxiety, tobacco control, smoking cessation, and patient advocacy.
Our aim is to address hurdles, define pathways and form a united voice amongst all stakeholders to push forward lung cancer screening and early detection for Hong Kong.
More meetings to follow! My thanks to all who have given up their Tuesday evening to be with us for this in-depth discussion.”
