Menghis Bairu: Presenting our mission of biomanufacturing in Africa
Menghis Bairu, President & CEO of Bio Usawa Inc, shared the following on LinkedIn:
“Kigali, Rwanda. As the prestigious EAPB Conference week successfully concludes, members of Bio Usawa’s leadership team wish to thank the US Embassy in Rwanda leadership for inviting us to present to the interagency team and for their very warm welcome and engagement. We were most impressed by the genuine interest in—and appreciation for—our mission of building local biomanufacturing capacity in Africa to counter the health inequities that leave patients and their families without cost-effective treatments that are standard of care in developed nations.
The opportunity to present our strategy on Monoclonal Antibodies generated many animated conversations and useful leads that we have every hope will overcome financing challenges for greenfield projects like ours. We look forward to working with the ever-expanding community that is equally devoted to making Africa a powerhouse for quality, accessible and affordable biomedicines.
We thank you!
