“Calling all Sydney siders who are passionate about international development, women’s health, and impact in Timor Leste and our region
Australian International Development Network (AIDN) is partnering with the team at C4 to host a special event in Sydney this Thursday evening the 12th of October.
And we’d love you to join us.
The event will spotlight C4’s incredible mission to eliminate cervical cancer in Timor Leste and our region.
Guests will hear from the Minderoo Foundation, whose landmark impact investment in PNG and Vanuatu is ensuring 30,000 women are tested and then treated when needed.
Guests will also learn from the Australians on-the-ground doing this work in partnership with our Pacific neighbours, including the C4 consortium, and explore how small investments have the potential to save the lives of many.

Claire Wakefield is the continental president of SIOP (International Society of Pediatric Oncology) – Oceania.  She is a medical psychologist who leads research to improve quality of life for families affected by cancer. She is a Professor at the School of Clinical Medicine at UNSW and Director of the Behavioural Sciences Unit at Sydney Children’s Hospital, Australia. She is the Chair of the International Psycho-Oncology Society Paediatrics Committee, supporting psychologists who work with children with cancer globally as well as serving as Co-Director of Child Unlimited, which is a network of >200 child health experts across Australia.
