“The global cancer burden is staggering: 20 million new cases and over 9.7 million deaths worldwide in 2022. Those numbers will be in 2050: 35.3 million & 18.5 million deaths.

Urgent action and research are needed to reduce this toll.

Jean-Charles Soria serves as Amgen’s senior vice president of Oncology within Global Development. He is a medical oncologist and a professor of medicine at Paris-Saclay University.
