Aram Modrek and his team received a $600,000 V Foundation Scholar Award for their Decoding Glioblastoma Treatment Escape Mechanisms

USC Brain Tumor Center shared a post on X:

The V Scholar Grant is a 600K award over 3 years. This grant is a highly competitive national foundation grant that supports young tenure-track faculty early in their cancer research careers by funding projects that are either laboratory-based fundamental research or translational research.

Aram Modrek attributes the success of his lab to the collaborative support of multiple departments. Eric Chang, Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology and Caryn Lerman, Director of the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, have provided essential guidance and resources.

Aram Modrek’s career development has greatly benefited from the mentorship and support of David Tran, Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery and Yali Dou, Associate Director for Basic Science at the Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. This collective effort underscores the interdisciplinary collaboration that drives the lab’s progress.”
