Joshua Omale: The Impact of Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns

“Day 16: The Impact of Advocacy and Awareness Campaigns
Advocacy is not just about raising voices – it’s about changing realities. Through our awareness campaigns at Campus Cancer Awareness Initiative Nigeria (CCAIN), we have reached communities that had little to no knowledge about childhood cancer.
We’ve empowered parents with the information they need for early detection and linked them to health services. These efforts have not only increased awareness but also reduced the stigma surrounding childhood cancer.
In a country like Nigeria, where resources are limited, education is one of the most powerful tools we have in this fight. Advocacy brings hope and action where it’s needed the most.”
