“I was very pleased to contribute to the ESMO – European Society for Medical Oncology session : ‘the assessment of citizens perception of risk’ and presented the barometer cancer.
The aim of the cancer barometer INCA Institut national du cancer / Santé publique France) France is to analyze the attitude and behaviors of the French population regarding cancer an the evolutions.
A very interesting discussion about: Survivorship/ Cancer Barometer shows that more than 60% of the people think that when you have cancer you can no longer work as before whit a difference of more than 12 point to compare to 2010; health care professional involvement in prevention
- 22.5% of smokers discussed tobacco during a medical consultation ; 14.7% on their own initiative
- 5.4% of drinkers discussed alcohol consumption in a consultation; 55.3% on their own initiative
Thanks to Amil Družić and christine chomienne for chairing the discussions.”
