“Greetings from Barcelona!
It’s that time of the year again when oncology professionals from across the world gather for the highly anticipated ESMO event.
This marks my 11th consecutive year attending ESMO, and I am reminded of how each year has contributed to shaping my professional journey. These oncology conferences hold immense significance for me.
Beyond the invaluable knowledge exchange at this conference, it’s a time for me to reconnect with colleagues and friends. The field of oncology can take a toll on our well-being, with its profound emotional impact. It can feel like we’ve exhausted our inner resources and burn out rates are very high in this specialty.
So, I look forward to gaining fresh insights, finding moments of relaxation, and revitalizing my spirit. I am eager to absorb the latest data, establish meaningful collaborations through networking, and, above all, discover new ways to enhance the cancer journey for my patients.”
