Joshua Omale: The need for more Research in Pediatric Oncology

“Day 11: The need for more Research in Pediatric Oncology
Pediatric cancer research remains underfunded globally, but even more so in countries like Nigeria. Without local research, we indeed cannot fully understand how these diseases affect children or develop treatments that work for them.
The future of pediatric oncology depends on rigorous research— research that addresses the unique challenges of children in low-resource settings. We need to invest in the science that could save lives right here, at home. Children here deserve solutions tailored to their needs.”
