The Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer in LMICs – UICC
Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Every year, around 300,000 children are diagnosed with cancer, with 80% of these cases LMICs where survival rates can be alarmingly low.
The Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer, launched by World Health Organization aims to increase survival rates to at least 60% by 2030. This initiative could save 1 million lives.
UICC is proud to be part of this global effort, working with WHO and partners to strengthen cancer care systems, improve diagnosis, and support families.
