Carmen Uscatu: Turning suffering into a character
Carmen Uscatu, Founding Member, President at shared a post on LinkedIn:
”She turned suffering into a character:
‘Sometimes, in their relationship, the Foot intervenes.
Bia wishes she could move it normally, but here too, her patience is tested. In June, she underwent surgery, and now she continues treatment with chemotherapy. ‘Recovery is hard, but I accept it as it is and try to get through it. It’s very painful, physically. Mentally, I try to challenge this foot because I know it can do more.’
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We want to talk more about these children and how their lives change, about their families and the emotions they experience, about the conditions in the new hospital we built at Marie Curie, and about what we can do together for them.
