”Visit to The University Clinic of Navarra Radiation Oncology Department in Madrid, Spain. I recently had the privilege of visiting the Radiation Oncology Department at Clínica Universidad de Navarra, incredible opportunity made possible by my mentor, Prof. Felipe A. Calvo, through the European School of Oncology Mentorship Program.

The visit began with a warm welcome from Javier Aristu, who introduced me to the esteemed team at the clinic. His hospitality set the tone for a truly enriching experience.

I had the chance to explore advanced Radiotherapy treatment modalities like proton beam therapy with Dr. Jacobo Palma Delgado, and observing the meticulous planning for Partial Breast Irradiation and SBRT with Dr. Mauricio Cambeiro showcased the team’s precision and dedication to patient care.

One of the most touching moments was seeing the entire team come together to thank a patient for trusting them after completing radiotherapy. It was an emotional reminder of how much care and heart goes into the work they do every day.

I’m incredibly grateful to Prof. Calvo, Dr. Aristu, and the whole team at Clínica Universidad de Navarra for this inspiring experience that gave me both professional insights and a deeper understanding of compassionate oncology care.
