Obstetric fistula repairs have been successfully performed for 45 women at the Dr. Amina Bello Women Health Center – Raise Foundation
Raise Foundation shared a post on X:
”Obstetric fistula repairs have been successfully performed for 45 women at the Dr. Amina Bello Women Health Center in Kontagora, funded by the Fistula Foundation.
These women, who initially arrived at the center feeling distressed and hopeless due to the constant leakage of urine, have now regained their lives and self-esteem.
They are now dry, empowered, and have been discharged with bright smiles. All aspects of their care, including transportation, treatment, meals, and skills acquisition, were provided free of charge.
Another round of surgeries is expected to begin on the 25th of September 2024.”
