“Your roots keep you humble and grounded. Recently came across my grandfather’s passport from around the time of India’s independence (1940s). He used to work as a carriage examiner for the British railways (inspected and fixed undercarriages of train cars). Also a lesson on how our world keeps changing – Britain does not have colonies anymore and the British territory of Tanganyika is now Tanzania.”

Navneet Majhail, M.D., MS, FASTCT, is a Physician-in-Chief of Blood Cancers at the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Network. He is also the program medical director at the Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville.
