Ayomide Omotola: Sparking hope in East Africa as we tackle childhood cancer in Kenya and Uganda
Ayomide Omotola, Program manager for the Sub-Saharan African Regional Program at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Witnessing hope bloom in East Africa! This past month, we had the privilege of collaborating with incredible stakeholders in Kenya and Uganda. Together, we tackled the critical issue of childhood cancer.
It was truly inspiring to work alongside dedicated partners – from government ministries to local health organizations and foundations. Everyone came to the table with a shared goal: prioritizing early/accurate diagnosis and improving outcomes for children battling this disease.
Through workshops and aligned national strategies, we’ve laid the groundwork for real change. Now, with a couple of exciting initiatives on the horizon, the momentum is building!
It’s these moments of collaboration that spark the most hope. Every child deserves access to quality care, and by working together, we can make a significant difference in countless lives.
Let’s keep this positive energy going!”
