Joe Y. Chang: Join the WCLC brain metastases discussion
Joe Y. Chang, Director of Stereotactic Ablative Radiotherapy Program at MD Anderson Cancer Center, shared a post on X:
“Brain metastases used to be an ’emergency.’ Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) has replaced whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT) for lesions up to 10. In the era of newer generation tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), there is a need to balance local control (LC) versus the toxicities of brain radiation therapy (RT). We need both cutting-edge technology and novel biology. We welcome you to join our WCLC brain metastases discussion on September 9, 2024.”
