Robin Zon: Caring for this patient population is truly a team effort

“Thank you to my Alma Mater, IU med school, for inviting me to give a seminar during a lunch and learn program for the students in the South Bend campus. Today I had the pleasure of meeting first and second year medical students who are full enthusiasm and energy.

As one would expect, I tried to talk all of them into becoming oncologists! but short of that they all understood that no matter what they pursue as a medical career they will be interacting with cancer patients either personally or professionally- and caring for this patient population is truly a team effort.

Additionally, I had the pleasure of sharing the many opportunities ASCO has for interaction with the medical students .

Robin Zon is the President of ASCO for 2024-2025. She also chairs the South Bend Medical Foundation and is a former Director of Breast Oncology at Cincinnati Cancer Advisors. Additionally, she has served as a Physician Emeritus at MHO – Advanced Center for Cancer Care.
