Join this unique meeting hosted by WHO in Geneva on 16 September 2024 at Palais des Nations to co-create priorities for Cancer 2030, linked to the UICC World Cancer Congress. There are just 2 more days before registration closes.
Designed as a ‘Model UN/WHO’ event to advance WHO’s framework for meaningful engagement of people living with noncommunicable diseases (PLWNCDs), this meeting will give participants the complete WHO experience of diplomatic deliberation to determine cancer priorities based on lived experience.

Bente Mikkelsen is the Director of Noncommunicable Diseases at WHO Headquarters in Geneva and was previously Director for Noncommunicable Diseases and Health Promotion in Europe. She also headed the secretariat for the WHO Global Coordination Mechanism on Noncommunicable Diseases. Trained as a Gynecologist and Obstetrician, she holds a Master’s degree in Health Administration. Her primary focus now is aligning efforts toward achieving Sustainable Development Goals by reducing premature deaths from NCDs and employing innovation and collaboration across sectors.
