57,516 steps and $600 raised in support of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation
The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF) shared on LinkedIn:
“For her 33rd birthday this year, Kaity decided to hike 33 kilometers (20.5 miles) with a 33-pound rucksack strapped to her back, all in support of breast cancer research.
Inspired by her mother, who was diagnosed with breast cancer over 15 years ago, Kaity is determined to make a difference.
“I am so lucky that I get to choose my hard through training hard and doing a 33-kilometer ruck, she doesn’t get to choose her hard but sets the example every day for me,” Kaity said. “So what better way to honor her than to use this ruck to raise money for breast cancer research?”
Kaity completed the journey in seven and a half hours, for a total of 57,516 steps and $600 raised in support of BCRF. Help us congratulate Kaity on this incredible achievement in the comments below!”
