Effectiveness of scalp cooling programs for chemotherapy-induced alopecia
Francisco J. Esteva, Lenox Hill Hospital shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The effectiveness of scalp cooling programs to reduce chemotherapy-induced alopecia, highlighting benefits, side effects, and practical considerations for cold caps, is well-documented. However, it is not for everyone. Interesting perspective from a caregiver. Alternative approaches to prevent chemotherapy-induced hair loss should be developed and investigated in well-designed clinical trials.
