Roupen Odabashian: You don’t know which lottery ticket you have in life
Roupen Odabashian posted on LinkedIn:
“In my work as an oncologist, I often see patients who are bedbound and exhausted.
At first glance, many of them seem similar, all wearing the same green gowns and facing the same challenges—pain, nausea, and vomiting.
However, when you take the time to learn their stories, you realize each person is unique, with their own distinct background. Whether they were plumbers, lawyers, or doctors, they all find themselves in the hospital, regardless of their past. Everyone gets equal on that bed, oh the hospital bed. It’s the place where my biggest fears are!
It’s striking how quickly life can change. In just a month, someone who was active and healthy can become bedbound, just like someone who struggled with health issues or neglected their health. You don’t know which lottery ticket you have in life.
These experiences remind me of how unpredictable life can be, urging me to live fully, but I still struggle to understand what fully means! as everything can change in an instant.”
