The impact of a parent’s diagnosis with cancer drove us to launch the Max Schooling program. – The Max Foundation

“The impact of a parent’s diagnosis with cancer drove us to launch the Max Schooling program, which enables children to continue receiving education when their parents are going through treatment.
In addition to educational needs, however, children can experience feelings such as fear and anxiety which they may have trouble communicating. In an effort to support the whole person, we collaborated with the Faculty Association of De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde College of Arts and Design in the Philippines last month to offer an art workshop for Max Schooling kids and their parents.
The art professor who taught the session is a cancer advocate who uses creativity to promote emotional growth and healing.”
