Jessica Plowman: For the first time, I’m done and out of school

“Last week I presented my final project of my master’s degree ‘Skin Cancer Knowledge and Association with Lifestyle Factors’ exposing genetic mutations that contribute to increased risk of melanoma along with stigmas surrounding skin cancer diagnoses. For the first time, I’m done and out of school. At least for now! I’ve enjoyed the connections I’ve made and all I’ve learned.”

Jessica Plowman, MPH is the Outreach Coordinator and Screener at The START Center for Cancer Research. She is also the Unit Secretary at Corewell Health. Previously, she was an Epidemiology Intern at the Michigan Fitness Foundation. She completed her masters in public health from Grand Valley State University.
