Stay informed, get screened, and take preventive steps to protect yourself from cervical cancer – Medicaid Cancer Foundation
Medicaid Cancer Foundation shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Did You Know? Persistent Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection of the cervix, if left untreated, causes 95% of cervical cancers. HPV is a common sexually transmitted infection. While the body’s immune system usually prevents it from causing harm, the virus can persist for years and potentially lead to cervical cancer.
It’s crucial to take action because early treatment can prevent cervical cancer from developing. Regular cervical screenings can detect HPV infections early.
Your health matters. Stay informed, get screened, and take preventive steps to protect yourself from cervical cancer.”
