I am glad you enjoyed your time in Kingston and at the department of Radiation Oncology.

I am biased but Radiation Oncology is the best medical speciality and I can prove.”

“Last month I had the opportunity to go back to the beautiful city of Kingston and continue some of what I started earlier this year at Queens University and KHSC.

While still involved in my research, the highlight of this visit was my experience as a clinical observer in radiation oncology. It was a great privilege to expand my contact with the specialty while discovering the magic of a Kingston on my way to and from the hospital.

Needless to say (at least for those who have spoken to me since my first visit in Jan-Feb), it is truly a shame we don’t have much, if any, exposure to such a fascinating field in our training. I am immensely grateful for having been blessed with this run-in through my research experience.

A special thank you to Dr. Fabio Ynoe de Moraes for teaching me so much through this experience (and for sneaking me in for a quick gawk at the RT infrastructure), and to the team at KGH for being so receptive of me yet again. I hold my time at the clinic, dosimetry and lost around in those hallways very close to my heart.”
